Day 1. Budapest
Arrival to Budapest, transfer to the hotel, relax. Overnight in Budapest.
Day 2. Budapest
Budapest city tour: Buda castle district, Fisherman’s bastion, Citadel, Heroes’ square, City Park with the Vajdahunyad castle, Andrássy street, Fashion street, Váci street – with the most outstanding historic monuments and sights, mentioning only the most popular places. In the evening suggested to see the beautiful lighted city! Overnight in Budapest.
Day 3. Danube bend excursion (Szentendre, Visegrád, Esztergom)
Full day excursion to the most beautiful historic cities of the valley of Danube. The beautiful environment, the art and the culture of Szentendre enchants the visitors. Visegrád is one of the oldest city and one of the former royal court of Hungary. Because of the favorit geographical position here was built a fortification during the roman empire as well. The ruin of it, can be seen till today, comes from 1250’s. Driving further on the right bank of Danube we reach Esztergom, other beautiful city of Danube bend. The city had been populated in the pre-historical times, later became the Center of the Hungarian catholic church and a flowery mercantile city. Today is one of the most popular tourist destination of the country. The Basilica of Esztergom is one of the largest church of Europe. Arrival to Budapest at the evening.
Day 4. Vienna – Schönnbrunn – Hallstatt
After early breakfast starting to Vienna, the capital of Austria, where we make a short walk in the historical city centre. St. Stephen church, Museum quarter, Hofburg - the foremer imperial palace, the centre of the enormous empire of the Habsburgs. Afternoon we visit the summer residence of Sissi queen, the Schönnbrunn Palace. Early evening we drive to the pictoresque city, Hallstatt. Dinner and overnight in Hallstatt.
Day 5. Hallstatt – Cesky Krumlov
After breakfast we take a walking tour in Hallstatt. We can admire this beautiful postcard scenery, we can breathe the fresh alpine air and we can take lots of fantastic photos with the swans of the local lake. The city became world known by its salt mining that were converted to museum in 2002. The city has been declared as world heritage by UNESCO. At early afternoon we say goodbye to this lovely, small city, and we continue our way to Czech Republic. Evening arrival to Cesky Krumlov. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6. Cesky Krumlov – Ceske Budejovice – Prague
After breakfast we take a walk in the city that is one of the most visited tourist place of the country. Visit the castle area which is one of the largest in Central Europe. Afternoon we continue our way to the nearby Ceske Budejovice. Here we visit the legendary hunter-lodge, the so called Hluboka castle. The castle can be found in a marvellous park so that is one of the most romantic place of the country. After the castle visit we continue our way to the Czech capital, to Prague. At the evening we admire the lighted city. Dinner and overnight in Prague.
Day 7. Prague
In the morning, city tour of Prague: Venczel square, Charles bridge, Castle of Prague. After lunch drive to the cathedral of Saint Borbala in the nearby of Prague (Kutna Hora), that has been declared as world heritage by UNESCO since 1995. At the evening during the fine dinner we can taste the good Czech beers. Overnight in Prague.
Day 8. Prague – Bratislava – Budapest
After breakfast we depart to Slovakia. In Bratislava we stop for a short walking tour in the castle district. Early afternoon we leave the city and go to Hungary. Arrival to Budapest at the evening. Overnight in Budapest.
Day 9. Budapest – Gödöllő – Budapest/ Széchenyi spa
In the morning we visit the largest baroque palace of Hungary, the Grassalkovich castle. Queen Elisabeth and her husband Franz Joseph relaxed here very frequently in the spring and autumn seasons. Unfortunately the storms of history didn’t spare the palace. During the second world war it was demaged. After the war it was used as stall for animals and as a military quarter and store. The furnitures and instalationes of the palace were demaged or transported. The reconstruction started after 1990 and it is lasting till today. Nowadays museum and banquet-and conference centre can be found in the palace. Afternoon relax in one of the famous spa in Budapest, in the Szechenyi spa. Overnight in Budapest.
Day 10. Budapest
Breakfast in the hotel, free time or transfer to the airport according to time schedule.
