Day 1.      Budapest

Arrival to Budapest, transfer to the hotel, relax. Overnight in Budapest. 

 

Day 2.    Budapest

Budapest city tour: Buda castle district, Fisherman’s bastion, Citadel, Heroes’ square, City Park with the Vajdahunyad castle, Andrássy street, Fashion street, Váci street – with the most outstanding historic monuments and sights, mentioning only the most importants. Afternoon free time. Overnight in Budapest.

 

Day 3.    Bend of the Danube trip

Full day excursion to the most beautiful historic cities of the valley of Danube. The beautiful environment, the art and the culture of Szentendre enchants the visitors. Visegrád is one of the oldest city and one of the former royal court of Hungary. Because of the favorit geographical position here was built a fortification during the roman empire as well. The ruin of it, can be seen till today, comes from 1250’s. Driving further on the right bank of Danube we reach Esztergom, other beautiful city of Danube bend. The city had been populated in the pre-historical times, later became the Center of the Hungarian catholic church and a flowery mercantile city. Today is one of the most popular tourist destination of the country. The Basilica of Esztergom is one of the largest church of Europe. Arrival to Budapest at the evening.

Day 4.    Gödöllő – Sightseeing cruise of the Danube

After breakfast start to the nearby Gödöllő, visiting the largest baroque palace of Hungary, the  Grassalkovich-palace. Queen Elisabeth and her husband Franz Joseph relaxed here very frequently in the spring and autumn seasons. Unfortunately the storms of history didn’t spare the palace. During the second world war it was demaged. After the war it was used as stall for animals and as a military quarter and store. The furnitures and instalationes of the palace were demaged or transported.  The reconstruction started after 1990 and it is lasting till today. Nowadays museum and banquet-and conference centre can be found in the palace.  Lunch in a traditional Hungarian restaurant, after returning to Budapest. In the afternoon we visit the famous and elegant New York Café. In the evening we participate on a marvellous river-cruise, where we can see the beautiful sight of the lighted city in both bank of the river.  Overnight in Budapest.   

 

Day 5.    Bratislava – Prague

After early breakfast start to Czech Republic. The first stop will be in Bratislava the capital of Slovakia. Short city tour in the castle. After lunch we continue our way to Prague. During the trip we keep some short breaks and we arrive to Prague at the evening hours. After arrival we are going to walk in the Old Town to see the beautiful lighted city. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

 

Day 6.   Prague –  Karlovy Vary

After breakfast city tour of Prague: Venczel square, Charles bridge, Castle of Prague. After lunch and sightseeing we drive to Karlovy Vary, one of the capitals of European film-festivals. After arrival we are going to a sightseeing in the downtown. Till today this is the bath-city with the largest tradition, where several very famous personality were cured getting treatments in the bath, for example Goethe, Beethoven or Gogol. Other speciality of the city is the every year organised international film-festival. In that days the city is full of well-known actors, film-directors and producers. Dinner and overnight in Karlovy Vary.

 

 

Day 7.    Karlovy Vary – Plzen - Ceske Budejovice 

After breakfast we can go for a short walk in the city, free time. Around noon we start to Ceske Budejovice that is one of the most historic cities of south part of the country. On the way we stop in Plzen. The city is famous by its brewery as well, and we can taste some of its products. You can try how to tap your own beer by yourself! After visiting Plzen, drive to Ceske Budejovice.

 

Day 8.     Ceske Budejovice – Cesky Krumlov – Ceske Budejovice

Today we visit the legendary hunter-lodge, the so called Hluboka castle. The castle can be found in a marvellous park so that is one of the most romantical places of the country. The next settlement to visit in the nearby, is Cesky Krumlov that is one of the most visited tourist place of the country. The historic centre of the city has been declared as world heritage by UNESCO. We get acquainted with the city, than drive back to Ceske Budejovice. Overnight in Ceske Budejovice.

 

 

Day 9.  Ceske Budejovice – Salzburg – Berchtesgaden  

After breakfast we drive to Austria, to Salzburg, to the city of birth of Mozart. Salzburg is called as the city of music and culture, having lot of music programs in every seasons of the year. After arrival and lunch short city tour: Mirabell garden, house of birth of Mozart, cathedral district, Hohensalzburg castle. After sightseeing drive to Germany, to the wonderful Berchtesgaden National Park. Dinner and overnight in Berchtesgaden. 

 

Day 10.     Berchtesgaden – Schönau am Königsee 

After breakfast we visit the amazing mountain cottage, the Eagle’s Nest, the favourite place of Adolf Hitler can be found in the nearby of the country-border on the 1834 m high peak of Alps. We get acquainted with the admirable landscape. After this memorable tour we go for another breathtaking cruise on the Königsee. Late afternoon drive back to the hotel, free time or relax in the hotel spa. Dinner and overnight in Berchtesgaden.

Opening time:

The Eagle’s nest can be visited from the middle of May to the end of October depending of the weather. 

 

 

Day 11.    Berchtesgaden – Hallstatt – Bad Ischl – Gosau 

After breakfast we continue our way to Austria. Here the first stop will be in Hallstatt, in the small picturesque city. We can admire the beautiful landscape like a postcard, we can breathe the fresh alpine air and we can take fantastic photos with the swans of the local lake. The city became world known by its salt mine that were converted to museum in 2002. The city has been declared as world heritage by UNESCO. After a half day walking tour we drive to a nearby Bad Ischl, where we  visit the imperial couple, Franz Josef and Elisabeth’ s favourite hunting lodge, the Kaiser Villa. After that we drive back to the gorgeous Alpine village to Gosau. Dinner and overnight in Gosau.

 

Day 12.   Gosau –  Vienna

After breakfast we can continue our way to the capital of Austria, to Vienna. Before we reach Vienna, we stop for a short visit the Melk Abbey, a Benedictine abbey above the town of Melk. After arrival in Vienna, lunch and we start a city tour: St. Stephen’s cathedral, Museum quarter, Hofburg- the former imperial palace, the centre of the enormous empire of the Habsburgs. After check in free time. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.

 

Day 13.  Vienna – Schönnbrunn 

After breakfast we visit the summer residence of Sissi queen, the Palace of Schönnbrunn. The rest of the day free time. Optional program: shopping day at the Parndorf outlet. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.

 

14. nap      Vienna – Budapest

Breakfast in the hotel and drive back to Budapest. Short free tiem and transfer to the international airport.
